人型ロボットの開発はアメリカ、そして、なにより中国が進んでいる。
日本は、トヨタなどの自動車製造のラインで溶接、組み立てロボットで一躍トップを取った歴史があるが、汎用的な人型ロボットの分野では遅れをとっている。
この遅れはもはや、追いつけないほどではないか？
ただし、高齢社会の日本のニーズに対応するロボット開発には未来があるように思う。
いずれの国も高齢化はするからだ。また、きめ細かな対応についても日本人の得意とするところ。
きちんと分野を絞って投資をすれば、未来は明るい。

内閣府は、社会を変えるような挑戦的な研究を支援する「ムーンショット型研究開発制度」で、家庭や工場、被災地など様々な現場で活躍できる汎用（はんよう）の人型ロボットの開発を新たな目標に定める方針を固めた。２０３０年までに試作機を作り、基盤技術の獲得を目指す。米中をはじめ海外で人型ロボットの開発競争が加速する中、日本の研究開発を促進したい考えだ。
