Skypeが様々な人のコミュニケーションに役に立ったのは間違いない。
それは、恋人とのやり取りだったり、母とのやり取りだったり、ビジネスだったり。
2003年から提供されたサービスだが2025年に終了。その理由は明確でマイクロソフトが買収したからに尽きる。開発も停滞して、Teamsに吸収された部分もある。
結局、スタートアップ企業はバイアウトが原則で、そのシナリオ通りの結末となった。
マクロソフトとしてはTeamsも無料で使えるからアカウントを取って使えばいい、ということだけ。
結局、GAFAと言われるITジャイアントが市場を支配するという話だ。
